Traveling HIT Man’s first stop: Yale-New Haven Hospital!!

Traveling HIT Man has just sent us an update from his first stop -- Yale New Haven Hospital! He had a great time there with his new friend Nathan, as you'll see below.

This week I visited Yale-New Haven Hospital
in New Haven, Connecticut…

…where the new Smilow Cancer Hospital at YNHH will
treat its first patients in October 2009.

I went to the Department of Laboratory Medicine and
visited the Virology Lab where their holiday wreath
(“Welcome to Flu-Ville”) stays up until flu season is over!

I made a stop in the Core Lab and checked out their
Roche Modular chemistry analyzer…

…and finally, visited the Build Room where medical technologists
are helping to set up the new LIS from Soft Computer (SCC),
which will be going live in December.

Traveling HIT Man is on the road again…stay tuned to see where his next adventure takes him!

He's leaving on a jet plane...

Traveling HIT Man is on the way! We have several HIT professionals who have volunteered to take him in for a few days, so stay tuned to hear about his adventures!
